About the role
We are delivering a technically ambitious engineering project for a high-profile international client - this is the sort of project that will be internationally recognised when it is complete.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Coordinator to step into a central role on a major project. The ideal person will be confident working in the detail, enjoy being hands-on, while working closely with senior engineering leaders and discipline leads to keeps things on track.

Key duties & responsibilities:
You will own the day-to-day coordination and project controls functions across programme, reporting, budget tracking, resource planning, action management, and document control. You will also play an important role in keeping the team accountable - following up actions, challenging slippage, and making sure project information is current and reliable.
Develop and maintain the project programme, ensuring it reflects current progress, priorities, and constraints
Monitor delivery against the programme and identify schedule risks and emerging issues early
Prepare project reporting covering progress, risks, actions, deliverables, and forecast performance
Track budget and forecast performance, identify variances, and help the team respond to emerging issues
Maintain resource planning across the project, including upcoming needs, conflicts, and gaps
Own the project action management process, including capture, assignment, follow-up, escalation, and close-out
Coordinate procurement and delivery of project related items
Coordinate project meetings and maintain clear records of decisions, actions, and key issues
Manage document control processes, including transmittals, workflows, and filing of current project information
Coordinate timely and well-organised responses to client requests, RFIs, and project queries
Work closely with engineers and discipline leads to keep information current and commitments on track
The ideal person will demonstrate:
Proficient experience in a project coordination, project controls, or similar delivery role
Experience working in an engineering, construction, or technical project environment
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving parts
Confidence to follow up with senior technical staff and push back constructively when actions, budgets, or programme commitments begin to slip
Good judgement and enough project experience to recognise when updates or assumptions do not stack up
A hands-on, practical approach - someone who is happy to produce the outputs directly rather than rely on others to do the groundwork
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Commercial awareness, including budget tracking and cost forecasting
