We are on the lookout for a motivated, collaborative Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our growing engineering team. The person will be responsible for owning the transition from concept and prototype to detailed design for manufacture for our autonomous, battery powered vehicles and elevated track / cable systems.

Purpose of the role

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager acts as the bridge between engineering design and external manufacturing partners, ensuring our products are manufacturable, repeatable, cost effective, and meet required safety and quality standards.

As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians responsible for manufacturing process development, production support, and capital equipment projects. You will partner with operations, engineering and finance to define scalable processes, ensure manufacturability, and enable on-time delivery while meeting safety and compliance requirements.

The ideal person will demonstrate:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent practical experience.

• 7+ years' experience in manufacturing engineering or production development for complex mechanical or electro‑mechanical products, such as rail, automotive, people-movers, cable transport, amusement rides, or heavy equipment.

• Proven track record taking products from prototype to repeatable manufacture using external fabrication and assembly partners, including on-site construction.

• Strong understanding of steel fabrication, weld design, tolerance analysis, GD&T, fit-up for moving mechanical systems, and environmental protections.

• Working knowledge of electrical and control systems manufacturing, including supplier capability assessment and component acceptance for electro-mechanical sub-systems.

• Experience with quality systems (e.g. ISO 9001), FAI, PPAP, PFMEA and similar, and practical problem-solving tools (e.g. 8D, fishbone, 5‑whys).

• Proficiency with 3D CAD, PLM/PDM tools, and ERP systems; comfortable working across large assemblies and configuration-managed product sets.
